THE APPLE BARN

Mapleside’s Apple Barn is a real farm market featuring fresh homegrown produce in season and a variety of delicious groceries and candies.

In the Apple Barn, you can pick up a peck of apples that have been grown right here on the farm – fresh, crisp, and juicy.
 

Current apples being harvested are McIntosh, Jonathon, Golden Delicious, Melrose, Cortland, Empire, and Gala.

We specialize in growing the Melrose apple – the official apple of the state of Ohio. The Melrose is a cross between Red Delicious and Jonathon and is excellent for both cooking and eating.

Fresh-pressed apple cider is also made daily with no preservatives. We use 5 different varieties of apples to make our cider. Our special blend is TOP SECRET, so make sure you get some while you’re here!
 

 

You’ll also find:

• Apple butter, jams, jellies, and specialty food items.
• Our Caramel Apples with various toppings.
 

In the fall you’ll find tons of corn stalks, straw bales, gourds, and fall decorations. You can even pick your own pumpkins!
